Our students continue to excel in academics, the arts, athletics and community service projects:

Academics

The District is proud to announce a 97% graduation rate for the Class of 2017.

Members of the Class of 2017 earned $15 million in scholarships and were accepted to some of the nation’s top colleges and universities.

HS students graduated with 73 AP Scholars, 11 AP Scholars with Honors and 19 AP Scholars with Distinction.

The junior high school maintains its position as one of only 28 New York State elite schools designated as a NYS Essential Elements School-to-Watch.

A senior has been named a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program and will have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,400 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million.  Less than 1% of high school graduating seniors in the U.S. will qualify as a semifinalist.

Five high school students were named Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Blessings in a Backpack continues to expand and is now feeding 200 students at Charles E. Walters Elementary School, Coram Elementary, Ridge Elementary and the Middle School.  The program provides students, in the federal free and reduced lunch program, with meals during weekends.

Arts
