Rachel Walczyk’s first-graders at Coram Elementary School are learning how small acts of kindness can make a significant impact for those in need. So far, the students have sewn close to 40 pouches for animals affected by the severe wildfires in Australia.

Marion (better known as Lynn) Burgess, a Longwood Junior High School Special Education teacher, recently gave a remarkable gift to her son ... the gift of life. In May 2019, Kevin, one of Marion’s three children, was diagnosed with a rare virus resulting in his kidney function at only 12 percent.
